Looking To 2026
A written guide to what early 2026 looks like for me
Of course, what would the end of the year be, without a look into the future? So let’s not beat around the bush!
Substack is certainly one of the things I’ll be pursuing next year, and whilst I don’t think I have it in me to write weekly, on top of my video content, my advocacy work with Queerwell, other up-and-coming projects, and working a completely unrelated full-time job, my intention is to at least put out a monthly article. These will of course be focused on trans issues, and largely will be on topics and events which I feel are more deserving of in-depth work than a three-minute Reel can offer. However, to be clear, this is not in any way a replacement of that content, it will be on top of it - if Substack isn’t for you, you can continue following me on Instagram or TikTok, you’ll just see the odd additional post telling you an article is live, or perhaps what I’m writing about currently.
Another pursuit you’ll see from me as we step into 2026 is the start of “The Robyn Talks Trans Podcast”. This will be focused on me in conversation with trans people in the community, with a different person per episode, here in the UK. We’ll be discussing each persons’ individual diversity and unique experiences, talking about what life has been like for them, and their hopes for the future. Examples I’m aiming for are topics like “Coming out later in life”, “Uni and graduating as a trans person”, “Nightlife as a trans person”, “How I built community and friendships”, “Being trans and black”, “Unemployment as a trans person”. Again I will be aiming for one episode a month for this, but I’ll be sharing more once I’ve made enough progress on the project. Things are in the very early days, but the intention is to get this up and running by the end of Q1 2026.
In January, Felicity and I will be travelling to Turkey for her first gender affirming surgery. This would have been impossible had it not been from the kindness and generosity of my followers, as well as the numerous friends and community members who have contributed. I know just how much this means to her, and I’m genuinely ecstatic that I get to support her and see her take this wonderful step forward. So if you’ve contributed towards her fundraiser, thank you SO much, it means the world to us both.
This is all to say nothing of my currently secret project, which I’ll be sharing more of, as soon as I’m able to. All I will say is that a portion of my time in Turkey, with Felicity, will be spent focussing on this while she’s in recovery….
So What about Cost?
As I’ve always said, my online content is, and will always be, free. Substack does have an option to pay me, but that is not mandatory and I will not be paywalling anything. I’ve placed a sign-up box for you below, if you wish to do so.
If you do wish to send anything my way, that is entirely optional, but aside from paying via Substack, you can do the following:
My partner’s transition fundraiser: HERE (my preference)
Send me a One-Time or Monthly payment via my Ko-Fi: HERE
Donate to Queerwell and help support the charity’s Sunday Sanctuary, providing a safe space along with mental health workshops for the LGBTQIA+ community, both online and in person: HERE
Thank You
Whilst there’s much more to come from me, for now, I really just want to take a moment and thank each and every follower I’ve gained this year. Genuinely, if someone had told me 12 months ago that I’d be closing in on 10k followers on Instagram, that I would receive the most heartwarming and lovely comments and DMs of support, gratitude, and love, and that I would occasionally be stopped in the street and at events by people who follow me and want to say thank you, I would have flat-out called them a liar, but here we are!
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here, because honestly? My aim is to one day be able to move away from my day-job and perhaps make what I’m doing into something I can earn a living from, ideally via speaking at events, and other related endeavours (again with no paywall for my social media content). I want to continue educating others on trans issues, to encourage allies to learn and take part, to work towards our community gaining the kind of love, support, and respect, that every human being on this earth deserves. What seemed like a silly pipe dream only 12 months ago, feels all the more possible. I have a real sense of hope, and drive, that I may one day be able to reach that point….
Thank you again for being here. I hope for safety, comfort, and love, for each and every one of you in the year ahead.
Keep fighting, we’ll win out in the end.
All my love,
Robyn

All the best for 2026 Robyn . Keep up the good work. 😘
